There will be an assignment every Wednesday, due the following Wednesday.  The assignment alternates.  The first week it will be an essay.  The following week it will be a packet.  This pattern will continue throughout the year.  For the essay, the topics will vary but we will always do an outline in class.  The student should either copy the outline down on a piece of paper or take a picture of the outline with a cellphone.  The essay must be five paragraphs long and there must be at least 25 sentences in the essay.  All essays must be typed.  For the packet, all answers that are not multiple choice must be complete sentences.  Any failing assignments must be corrected.  Although, a student is welcome to do corrections on an assignment, even if it is passing, to earn a higher grade.  Besides the essays and packet, there will be smaller assignments throughout the year, depending on what we're working on in class.
