Spring 2023 Lockdown Drills

Greetings ECS Community,
I’m writing to let you know that, we will be conducting two lockdown drills in the near future.
We will start these drills with a shelter-in-place drill and clearly tell students it is a drill so we do not create unnecessary stress. During the shelter-in-place, staff will remind students of our procedures, so students will be prepared when we move into the lockdown portion of the drills.
We also plan on testing the new security system that was recently installed for one of these drills. This system includes features such as automated voice messages, the use of message boards, and flashing lights.
