I Want To Read All The Books!

I Want To Read All The Books!

Did you know that one of the most purposeful interactions you can have with your child is reading with them? One of the trends seen in education supports the need to continue to discuss the several benefits of such experiences.

Language development: Reading exposes children to new words and ways of using language.

General knowledge: It helps them learn about the world and prepares them for learning new subjects in school.

Bonding: Reading together provides a wonderful opportunity for parents and children to connect.

Cognitive development: It supports cognitive development and improves attention span.

Vocabulary expansion: Children learn words and language skills from listening to stories.

Emotional development: Reading aloud builds self-esteem, feeds imagination, and improves sleep patterns.

We are recycling some of our gently used books and you may notice your child coming home with some old classroom/library books. They are theirs to keep. If you happen to visit ECS Elementary this week, please feel free to visit the "Free Book" table in the entry. Enjoy, and READ on!
